13/80

Hey guys!! How's everybody doing? This week has gone by so fast, it's crazy!! Its crazy to think that we get out of the mtc in less than 2 weeks! I can't wait! I don't really know what to say so I'll just talk about my week. I hope at least some people read it haha

On Thursday it was pday and we went to a cathedral and an Egyptian temple! The cathedral was really interesting and it was awesome to be able to around inside. I love being able to hangout with my roommates (we're in different zones) because we all just joke around and it's super fun. Also, Dylan and I got froot loops from mom today which was awesome!

Friday was pretty boring, but we took a grammar quiz... the quiz was 80 points and I got 13 right.. I guess I know that I really need to study grammar! And today instead of going to sports, my district cleaned some flower beds outside of the temple which isn't as bad as it sounds. For our investigator tonight we planned to teach the Plan of Salvation. But once we got to telling him that we chose to come to earth when we were in the premortal life, he asked us why he didn't remember.. We didn't know how to explain that in Spanish so it was rough. Overall, it was an ok day.

Saturday was park day and my companion was one of the new Russian learners named Elder Rowland. It was really hard because i felt like he didnt care about it at all. He made a lot of questionable comments to our contacts and I didn't really know what to do. But I made the best out of today and I tried really hard to talk to people in Spanish. Plus, we were talking to an old guy and he said my Spanish was very good for only learning it for 4 weeks!

Sunday's are awesome in the mtc and the spirit is always so strong. We had some good food today too, which helped. Today, Elder Kohlström and I gave Hermana Davis a priesthood blessing. I was the one who said the blessing and it was my first one so I was kind of nervous. But once I started giving it, I felt the spirit stronger than I have ever felt it before in my life, it was amazing!! It felt like the literal power of God was flowing through my head, down my arms, into my hands and into Hermana Davis. The priesthood is, without a doubt in my mind, the power of God.

Monday was not bad! I studied a lot of grammar and I feel like I learned a lot. We had to speak 100% Spanish until 4 today which actually wasn't too hard! Oh yeah, our room always goes up to the kitchen at like 9:30 at night to make toast, it's the best.

Tuesday was pretty average. In our grammar lessons, we learned about direct and indirect pronouns which is super hard! Also, for our investigator tonight Elder Kohlström and I planned to teach El Evangelio de Jesucristo. We prepared a "script" to follow so we would know what to say, but once we started teaching we didn't need to use it! We were able to speak pretty decent Spanish and answer all his questions!! It was so cool.

I hope you are all doing awesome! Please please please keep me updated on the Jazz and snow in Utah!
