Wow this week has been crazy. Right now in Gandía there are a bunch of parties going because theres a holiday called Las Fallas which is a week long. So every day, all day, there are fireworks going off and people yelling in the streets! Every night this week, we've been woken up by people screaming outside our piso at like 3 in the morning. Love it. Also there are a ton of weird statues that people built thst are just in the middle of the road... pictures included.
This week was actually super fun! Since there is a holiday going on, there are a lot of people from different pueblos that are in Gandía for the week and we've been able to talk to a lot of really good people.
A highlight from this week is that we've had 4 different paellas (pictures included)... no wonder I'm getting fat! I love it here haha.
Also, Elder Cantos has been struggling a little bit with his health so it's been kinda hard to go at it for a long time in the streets, but on Sunday night we saw a miracle. We were knocking a building at 8:30 at night and we found a family! They let us in and we taught them the Plan of Salvation! It was incredible to feel the spirit there with us as we were testifying that their family could be together forever through Jesus Christ. We have another visit with them tomorrow and we're hyped!
Also today for preparation day, we're going to see a bull fight which should be dope! We're going with the whole zone so it's gonna be a good time.
I'm writing this in a McDonald's eating ice cream even though it's freezing outside. Life is good ladies and gentlemen.
It has been incredible to see the hand of the Lord guide us to his prepared children this week as we've put all our trust and faith in Him.
Here's a quote that I like from something September sent me:
"In the end, your heart and your will is all that you have to give that the Lord does not already have. If you give your time, two years, and your strength, you give only that which He grants to you with each beat of your heart and each breath that you draw. If you dedicate your gifts and talents, you only return to Him what He already has given to you. If you pay tithing you only return to Him a tenth of what he has already given to you. Everything that you have to give to the Lord, has its origin in Him, except one thing: your will. He does not have your heart, nor your mind, unless you give them to Him. It is the only gift you have to offer that He does not already have. And so when you give yourself, you truly give everything to Him."
Give yourself to Christ and you WILL see miracles.
Love you all and hope you have an amazing snow-filled week!
Also, here in Spain today is fathers day! I don't really remember when it is in the US or if its the same... But wow! I am so grateful for my dad. He has done so much for me and I hope one day I can be half the man he is. Love you dad, wishing you some sweet powder turns up LCC!
