Hola! Ha sido otra semana de contactando y tocando puertas aquí en Gandía, pero todo bien! Á mi me encanta hablar con la gente! En las palabras de Elder Cantos, "La gente aqui son muy amables! Nos rechazan con amabilidad!"
So true though.
Martes: Today we had district meeting in Catarroja which was super fun! Elder Jones brought some mate that we all drank while the meeting was going. For those of you who don't know what mate is: do you know what the smell of a freshly mowed lawn is? Mate tastes like that. Maybe worse. It's the greatest haha. After that, we went to dominoes like the classic Americans we are. We passed by Brayan tonight and caught him at home! We were able to talk for a little and read from the Book of Mormon with him too! Then we finished off the night with some rain contacting.
Miercoles: Holy! Today I woke up with the worst headache I've ever had! So Elder Cantos and I were told by Hermana Dayton to stay in piso until it went away. Tonight, we went and visited hermana Fifi which was super good. We talked about how our trials and difficulties make the hand of God more visible in our everyday lives. Leading this area is tough haha and when I plan things I feel like my head is gonna explode. Hopefully I'll learn to be better at planning things during this transfer.
Viernes: I forgot to write in my journal yesterday and I can't remember what happened... lots of contacting. But HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR! He's the softie of the family and I love him. Have a good day stringbean. Today we went and gave a blessing to an hermana in the ward. It's seriously such an amazing blessing to have the priesthood authority of God to be able to bless the lives of the people around us! Then we had a visit with Nasko and Desi, and Nasko offered to cut my hair on Monday! So were gonna see how that goes! Tonight we had a visit with Miguel Angel and he is incredible. We had a super good lesson about the plan of Salvation and he was super interested in all of it. Also, this morning I made German pancakes so it was a good day. #thanksdad #chefdad
Sábado: Today was good. We barely had anything planned so we ended up contacting a lot and met a lot of good people. But tonight is what made today good.. And interesting. The hermanas called us to give a blessing to one of the members who lives on their area so we went over and just kinda talked about why she needed one and all that. Then right when we were about to give the blessing, the hermana stood up started pacing around the room and then passed out! I have never seen something like that happen before! We called the paramedics and got here onto the couch and everything and she came to in like 5 minutes. When the paramedics got there, they said she was fine. Then we gave her the blessing and the spirit was so strong!! This seriously confirmed my testimony that the priesthood really is the power of God! CRAZY experience though.
I forgot to write in my journal a couple days this week but no pasa nada!
I hope you are all doing splendid and disfrutando the snow in Utah!
Love you all,
Elder Johnson
