Hey everybody! How is life? Life here in Vitoria is super good! This week has been pretty good and as of right now we could see 4 baptisms on Saturday so I'll keep y'all posted on that one haha.
I don't remember too much about what happened this week but last Saturday (5 de mayo) was a super good day! We started off by playing some fĂștbol with the members at the church for a couple hours and then we went to lunch with our district for my bday! We went and ate at some Mexican bar which was way overpriced but they had some pretty good food so I wasn't too mad. Plus, I had the bonus of wearing a sombrero while my district sang happy birthday and the whole bar just stared at us, kinda awkward but super fun! Then we finished off that night with some good old contacting! Overall a pretty good 19th birthday here in Spain.
We had a baptismal date for Marcia for the 5th of may but she wasnt feeling ready so this week we have decided to meet with her every day until Saturday to help her feel prepared and ready to talk the step of baptism! It has been amazing during our lessons to see the spirit work in her and testify of the truthfulness of what we are saying. I can definitely say that I know that God supports us as missionaries in this work and he supports all his children in following the example of Christ and coming closer to Him.
Today for preparation day we went out and bought some food #notgonnastarve!
Then we went and played some 2 on 2 basketball in our church clothes with the other elders haha, that was super fun! We got out white shirts a little dirty though.. hopefully it'll come out in the wash. Then we went to a cathedral that is right in the middle of our area, so that was super fun. And finally we went and got some ice cream, before running over to Marcias house to teach her about the commandments. It's been a good day for sure.
Also, I've been studying a lot about prayer recently and there a super good talk by David A Bednar from April 2008 called "Ask in Faith." Give it a read, it'll be worth your time.
Love you all and hope you have an amazing week! Shout out to the jazz for being the best. #takenote

We got pictures from my birthday, but the hermanas have them and they won't download onto my tablet... so sorry you won't get to see me in a sombrero this week. Maybe next week though.
