The Best Ward Ever...
Hello again fan club!! I am so happy you are all here to talk about me, with me!! Just kidding, but thanks to all of you who read this haha
Miércoles: This morning we synched our area books with the Hermanas and officially gave them 5/7 of our progressing investigators but está bien because I know they're in good hands (I hope). Then we had a visit with Luis and Arlette and it went super well!! Nos dijeron que leerán el libro de Mormón cada día como una familia. GENIAL!! Then we tried to do some pass bys but no one was home so we ended up doing a lot of contacting until 8. Then we had a visit with a Muslim man named Ombarek. It went ok, but he just doesn't understand the necessity of a savior.
Jueves: Esta mañana tuvimos la reunión de distrito en Catarroja. We met the 2 new members of our district and they seem super good!! Then we ate at a Chinese restaurant and talked about movies, music and stuff like that. It was super fun! Today was rough cause all our visits fired on us. Tonight we had a good visit with Ana María and she wants to share the gospel with a friend from work which is soooooo good.
Viernes: Today I forgot to write in my journal so I literally have no idea what happened haha sorry.
Sábado: This morning was long for me. We went to visit hermana Fifi (a super good member with cancer) which was fun! After that, we went to visit Antonia (recent convert) and she pretty much told us she doesn't want anything to do with the church anymore. My comp took it super hard because he had taught her for so long and he and his old comp were here when she was baptized. Then we did a bunch of pass bys and phone calls to try to find more people to teach and confirm some visits for the week. When we got back to piso, I checked our mail and saw 2 letters for me!! 1 was our family Christmas card with a note from mom, and the other was a combined letter from Aaron wood (beast), LJ, mom and some other members of the ward. It's so nice to get letters from people haha, it literally makes my whole day better.
Domingo: This morning we went to pick up a man named Juan for church and it was interesting because I'm 92.43% sure that he's crazy... está bien. During Sundayschool he was talking to some of the women about their weight and I'm pretty sure they didn't appreciate his comments haha. Then we had a couple visits after church (3, but 2 fired on us) and to every visit, we had a member to come with us! When I first got to Gandía, members never came with us, and now we have a member in almost every visit!! Es super guay para ver el espíritu de la obra misional spread through the ward! #laobradelSeñor #laVerdad
I hope you all have had an amazing week and, don't worry, I'm praying for snow in Utah! It'll come.
Excerpt from family email:
Hello dearest family. This is your 2nd missionary, Elder #2. How art thoust doing?
This week was kinda hard, but the work with the ward is getting soooooo much better! When I first got here, we never had members in visits with us and now we have members in almost every visit!! And there is a member named Quino who is a beast and is referring his family, friends and pets to us right now haha! He is the greatest! I didn't get a text from an investigator like Dylan, but I get more food than he does so I think we're even.
Love,
Elder Johnson
Happy to be here
